Hotels: 

The Great Northern Hotel is a 4 star family owned and run property nestling on a hillside overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and the resort town of Bundoran on the North West Coast of Ireland with spectacular views of the wild Atlantic Ocean, Donegal Bay and nearby mountains.   The hotel is situated beside an 18 hole championship golf course and has a leisure centre that includes swimming pool, sauna, Jacuzzi and fitness centre.

 

Day One: 

Arrive Dublin and stay at the Skylon Hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day Two:

After breakfast, we journey north west to Donegal, calling in at the pretty town of Enniskillen, set on a natural island separating the two sections of Lough Erne.   You can enjoy a cruise on the Lower Lough Erne before heading on to Bundoran for dinner, entertainment and overnight at the Great Northern hotel

Day Three:

A delightful day in store as you embark on a scenic drive, taking in the wild scenery and county highlands.   Call in at the pretty fishing town of Killybegs and pass Slieve League, the highest marine cliffs in Europe before visiting the interesting Glencolmcille Folk Village Museum which is based in a scenic spot overlooking the sandy curve of Glenbay beach.  Back to Bundoran for dinner, entertainment and overnight at the Great Northern Hotel.

Day Four:

Today you venture into the Glenveagh National Park which is at the heart of the Derryveagh Mountains in the north west of County Donegal.   Enjoy the scenery of this beautiful wilderness with rugged mountains and pristine lakes and visit the Glenveagh Visitor Centre.   Then it is on to the town of Dungloe and the fascinating Daniel O’Donnell Visitor Centre.   Back to the Great Northern Hotel for dinner, entertainment and overnight.

Day Five:

Enjoy your free day to relax at the hotel’s leisure entre, take in a round of golf or explore the many delights of Bundoran.  Dinner, entertainment and overnight at the Great Northern Hotel.

Day Six:

Time to say goodbye to Donegal and head back across country to Dublin, where you can visit the popular Guinness Storehouse for a fascinating insight into the history and heritage of Ireland’s famous tipple.   You can also take in the views of the city from the Gravity Bar while you sample a glass of the ‘black stuff’.   Dinner and overnight at the Skylon Hotel

Day Seven:

Time to go home.
